Two-Year Hiatus: What's Going On?
The Next Steps
I started Copper Cherry after my bachelor's degree at 22 years old. I dove-in head first, not knowing where this would go, and followed my own instinct. I loved creating new bags and taking them on adventures. Tweaking the designs along the way.
If you found this post, it’s most likely because you browsed my Instagram or my website and probably wondered why everything was sold out. Well, the reason I put Copper Cherry on hiatus is because I'm pursuing my Masters in Fashion in New York and can’t be doing both. I’m grateful for your understanding and patience as I navigate this new chapter. Although I’m focusing on my studies, Copper Cherry and Clo’s General Co. is never far from my thoughts. I’m so proud of the work I’ve done, and I hope that you’ll continue to support local businesses where you can.
While Copper Cherry is on pause, I want to take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come together. Every design, every adventure, and every tweak has been a labour of love, and it’s been incredible to see how these pieces have become a part of your lives. Whether you carried your Copper Cherry bag on your daily commute or on a spontaneous weekend getaway, knowing that my creations have accompanied you on your journeys has been the most rewarding part of this experience.
This time away isn’t just a hiatus; it’s an opportunity for growth and reinvention. My studies in New York are pushing me to think even more creatively, to experiment with new ideas, and to refine my skills. I’m learning from some of the best in the industry, and I’m excited to see how these experiences will shape the future of Copper Cherry.
Thank you for being a part of Copper Cherry’s story. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just the beginning of a new adventure.
